Fulfil

Hey hey!

Just to remind you all of our gig on 12th March – a big hello to any one who’s seen us on any Fulfil flyers, we’re really looking forward to playing next week :-)

We’ll be playing all the songs from “Better With You There” plus a few others.

We’re going to be playing some more Birmingham-based gigs very soon, and there’s talk of another album in the summer, so look out for more posts!

Bye for now!

New songs

Hey guys,

Welcome to our brand new website!! Thanks to Adam and Steve for all their hard work on it :-)

We’ve spent the past few weeks working on some new songs – so watch this space! We’re looking forward to possibly debuting one at our next gig on March 12th.

Look out for some more gigs coming to pubs and venues in the Birmingham area, we’ll keep you posted :-)

Congratulations to Ian and Katie!

Happy Christmas! We hope that you’ve had a festive Christmas and enjoyed the mountains of snow and the national slow down that followed.

Massive congratulations to Ian and Katie. Ian successfully converted Katie Salisbury into a Katie Shelley on 11th December and what a brilliant day it was too!

Gig listings will follow soon, what this space.

Happy New year!

The Satellite project

What?! An update?!

OK, no excuses, we’ve been pretty terrible at updating the website. It’s not cause theres been nothing going in the Satellite camp either…we’ve just been a bit rubbish at updating the website! It’s all good though we’re here now!

So..we’ve done loads of worship stuff, weddings and been busy rehearsing! The exciting news is that we’re just pushing through some new material so new songs are on the way. Saying that…we never officially launched the Better with you there CD so we’re planning on arranging a big hoo haa soon in aid of that, so watch this space!

The website…well the website has sat here for a while so we’re gonna do a few things to spruce it up a bit. New media player and more stuff generally.

Our slight silence might also have something to do with us trying to assess where we’re going and what we want to do as a band. We feel like we’re moving into a new kind of direction and we’re all excited about it. Thanks to all of you who have stuck with us on the way. New gigs will be up shortly, we’d love to see you there.

Much love,

The Satellite Project

Doors open at 7.00pm – it’s going to be amazing – would be awesome to see you there :)

again apologies for the lack of updating, we’ll be posting more stuff over the summer.

See you soon!, The Satellite Project

What a week!…

Well we’ve had a very busy but very exciting week. JOSHUA PROJECT on Friday night was definitely a highlight for us. You guys are amazing and the way you get stuck in is an inspiration to us. Thanks to Andy King and Leah Wilson for having us and being so supportive of what we do.

The highlight of the week has to be the FISSION gig. It’s such a good event to perform at. We had a great playing our songs for you guys. Thanks to everyone who bought a copy of our new E.P. ‘Better with you there’, we hope you like it. For anyone who missed out then check out www.mypsace.com/thesatelliteproject to listen to a few of the tracks and you can also find us on facebook.

That’s all for now.

Exciting News…

The new ‘Better with you there’ E.P. is finished! All the hardwork seems to have paid off and we’re launching the CD unofficially this weekend. If you get in contact with us through the website/myspace/post/pigeon you can get hold of your own copy today for a mere £5! We’re currently talking to a few venues about the possibility of a launch party so make sure you keep on the look out for that.

Special thanks to Luke Fellingham – Luna Sounds for mastering and putting together the CD down at ICC Studios. He’s awesome to work with and we would recommend him to anyone who wants to bring out the best from their mixes! Also massive thanks to Bobby Cole at Catch 22 Media and Alex Wheeler for their relentless hard work during editing and mixing. They’ve been awesome throughout the whole recording of the E.P. Finally, a big thank you to Earlswood Methodist Church for allowing us to their church for all the tracking of the E.P.

So make sure you get your copy now for just £5 and check out the myspace for a bit of a listen before you buy!

Thanks to all the guys at Kitts Green for having us for Cafe Church. We all had a great time playing some ‘unplugged’ band material and leading the worship. There’s some great stuff going on there so check it out on facebook and see when the next cafe church is.

We’re leading worship for the Riverside Church Youth Group at The Joshua Project tomorrow evening before heading down to play at Fission in Farnborough, Hampshire on Saturday night. We’re also very excited to have Sarah Salisbury with us entertaining you with some acoustic tracks, so it’s well worth getting down there. The new E.P. will be on sale at these gigs, so take your chance to bag a copy.

Look forward to seeing you there, there’ll be more updates over the next few days including a new media player on the site, new photos, various bits of redesign and a video log from the last few gigs. What more could you want?! Sorry its been a long one…lots to talk about! Gonna hit the hay now though, see you soon.
